How many boards would spend their Sunday in strategy mode? Ours did.
On March 30th, the Youth Advocacy Foundation (YAF) Board dedicated their entire Sunday to shaping the future of our work — because they believe in what we do and the young people we serve. The theme for this year's annual board offsite — “Spring Into Action for YAF” — set the tone for a day of energy, insight, and purpose.
From reimagining our elevator pitch to diving deep into systemic change strategies, our board members rolled up their sleeves and asked big questions:
How can we further our mission to shut down the Cradle-to-Prison™ pipeline?
How do we ensure YAF remains a force for equity in Massachusetts?
How can we keep kids in school and out of legal systems?
How can we supercharge our fundraising to match the urgency of our mission?
They’re not just lending their names — they’re giving their time, their insight, and engaging in the kinds of thoughtful conversations that move our mission forward. Their commitment fuels everything we do and reminds us why we fight so hard to give every student the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
